Position

The Unibail-Rodamco corporate tax department is located at the offices of the Group at Schiphol and consists of the Group Tax Director, Tax Counsel and the Tax Officer. The position of Tax Officer has become vacant. The Tax Officer will be responsible for tax compliance and for providing tax advice on VAT matters to the Dutch operations of the Group, as well as for tax accounting activities for the Unibail-Rodamco Group as a whole. His or her main responsibilities include: 
  • Preparing, filing of corporate tax returns for Dutch based companies of the Group;
  • Involvement in tax compliance in general;
  • Quarterly tax accounting for the Unibail-Rodamco Group as a whole;
  • Special projects for corporate tax (for example tax audits);
  • Provide tax advice on VAT-matters related to the Dutch operations of the Group;
  • Tax returns for Dutch VAT, real estate transfer tax;
  • Review VAT exposure in general;
  • Maintaining contact with external advisors and the tax authorities on the above matters;
  • Act as internal point of contact for tax matters toward legal and finance function;
  • Involvement in other projects within finance organisation.

Candidate

The ideal candidate has a degree in tax (tax law, fiscal economics, FB) and some 4-5 years of (international) tax experience at a consultancy or as an in-house tax manager. He/she has been involved in the composition of large tax returns including foreign activities, as well as in tax accounting (IFRS). He/she would be familiar with or has an interest in VAT, ideally with VAT-aspects of real estate. Next to having also a general interest in finance matters combined with strong analytical skills, he/she is a good communicator in Dutch as well as English. He/she has a persistent attitude, a high level of responsiveness and enjoys working in a multinational/multicultural environment.
