The Resource searches for senior and junior tax positions in industry and at tax advisory firms. We recruit for (multi)national companies and tax advisory firms. We believe that being well informed of the different cultures and tax needs of the companies and advisory firms we recruit for is essential for success. On that basis we look for the tax specialist that is best suited for the position. You can always expect full commitment from us in finding the right tax specialist for your tax position.
In general, we work on the basis of exclusivity. For our services we charge a fee on a “No Solution No Pay” basis. In other words: only upon signing of a contract between you and the preferred candidate a fee will be due. In principle, we charge a fee of 25% of the annual gross salary of the candidate hired. In the event the employment ends within a year we assist again at a reasonable fee or sometimes without a fee depending on the circumstances.
Our search and selection process consist of different stages, but every procedure is unique and has its own dynamics. The following stages can be distinguished:
- Introduction and advice
Typically, we start with a meeting with the client in person, preferably at the location where the position is to be filled. We discuss the profile of the desired candidate, the organization and its culture, and the budget. We assist in defining the profile and provide a realistic estimation of the chances of success in filling the position, taking into account the situation on the market for tax professionals at that point in time.
Together with you, we draft a profile of the organization, the vacant position and the ideal candidate. In addition to searching our database, we advertise the position on our website to attract new candidates for the open position.
On the basis of the profile and the initial meeting we start a (pre-)selection of the candidates in our database who meet the defined requirements. In addition, we use our extensive network, our website and advertisements in tax journals to identify new candidates.
Before presenting candidates to you, they have always been interviewed by us personally. During this interview the abilities and capabilities of the candidate are discussed. We also discuss their expectations and wishes with regard to a new position. If we believe the person is a suitable candidate for the vacant position we introduce him or her -with their permission- to you. You will receive a shortlist with a brief description of each candidate, their resumes and a salary indication. It is then up to you whether or not to invite the candidate(s). We organize the interviews and we keep in touch with you and the candidates for feedback after the interviews have taken place.
During the remainder of the procedure we like to remain involved. If desired, we advise/assist you on all matters relating to making an offer to one of the candidates, including on the package being offered.
- After placement
After placement, we like to stay in touch with you and the new employee to check if the expectations of both parties are met. Our goal is that you and the candidate will be successfully working together for a long period of time.
